How does Town Supervan work?
Customers who need Town Supervan service enter their removal details on our web form, then we calculate the costs for the removal according to our pricing settings and displays the quotes on the results page. Customers can then book instantly if they are satisfied with the costs and terms of the job.
Can I make changes to my booking prior to the removal day?
You can make any changes as long as you discuss and confirm with your Man and Van service provider.
What is the minimum amount of time I can book a man and van for?
All quotes can be booked with a minimum of 2 hours charge. If your trip from collection address to delivery address takes more than 2 hours, then the minimum time you can book is the trip time. You must also add to your booking the loading and unloading time.
Are there any additional booking costs, other than the quote?
No, you will be charged only with the quote amount.
When do you begin charging?
Charging commences when the vehicle arrives at the property and the crew begins loading.
How do you charge for Long distance moves?
We charge hourly for loading/unloading only and an additional charge is applied for mileage.
What happens if the removal takes longer than I booked?
If the removal takes longer, you will be charged every half hour and you will pay to the driver.
Do I need to be personally present on the removal day?
You don’t need to be personally present on the day of the removal, but the Man and Van service providers will need an adult representative (usually a friend or family member) to let them into the collection point, via and delivery address.
What happens if the driver is delayed?
In the unlikely event your vehicle is delayed you will be contacted and updated with an estimated time of arrival.
What makes your services standout?
Our moving assistance is adapted to your needs and you always pay an agreed very competitive fixed price. Public Liability Insurance Door to Door Service. Dismantling of a few things such as lamps, smaller shelves, sofa and the like. Protection of furniture during transport in the form of blankets and tension straps as well as covers for beds and sofas. We carry everything out of your home, your storage and other adjacent space and carry it in the corresponding way to your new address.
Are you Insured?
Yes, GIT – indemnity and public liability.
Do you help unload the van when arrived at destination?
Yes we can give a helping hand unloading our van when we have arrived at your location.
I am moving house and want to bring a friend with me when transporting our furniture is this possible?
Yes we have space for two passengers in our van.
How does your costs & pricing work?
- We don’t charge VAT.
- Our minimum charge for booking a removals van is two hours, we charge in 30 minute increments thereafter.
- Long distance removals and deliveries will be subjected to an additional mileage cost.
- Parking must be arranged by the customer. If any fines are given, they must be paid by the customer on completion of the job to the driver.
- Congestion charge will be levied if our vehicles have to enter the zone (£15.00)
